There are four categories of user in the ExInsight system:

  • Account Owners

  • Account Users

  • End-users, recipients

  • End-users, viewers

Account Owner

An ‘Account Owner’ has the most privileges on the ExInsight platform. The Account Owner is the person nominated to set-up and administer the account. They can add and delete users, create surveys, and edit survey questions.

A full list of permissions includes being able to:

  • Add new survey

  • View surveys

  • Edit surveys

  • Delete surveys

  • Edit responses

  • Delete responses

  • Add new users

  • View users

  • Delete users

  • Edit/view settings

  • Add new dashboards

  • View dashboards

  • Edit dashboards

  • Delete dashboards

  • View Geo+

Account Users

An ‘Account User’ is typically a manager who has the same permissions as Account Owners yet they cannot add, view or edit users.

A full list of permissions includes being able to:

  • Add new survey

  • View surveys

  • Edit surveys

  • Delete surveys

  • Edit responses

  • Delete responses

  • Edit/view settings

  • Add new dashboards

  • View dashboards

  • Edit dashboards

  • Delete dashboards

  • View Geo+

End-user, Recipient

An ‘End-user, Recipient’ is a person who can receive a survey and respond to a survey but they cannot see any other information associated with the ExInsight platform. They cannot see results other than their own history, for example.

End-users, viewers

An end-user is typically a manager who needs to see the results of surveys but cannot create or administer them. This is the equivalent of a ‘read-only’ account.
